About

Emily Hurst-Jones BS, RN,
AHA-I, Blah, Blah*
I went to nursing school with Florence Nightingale. Ok, not really. But I've been a nurse for 32 years. (Classes are smoother when that is not mentioned. Just saying.)
I've worked in a number of practice settings over the years. From Bone Marrow Transplant to Cardiac ICU and Home Care as well as being the one and only nurse for a large social service agency in Indianapolis. I've learned so much!
I was required to become a CPR instructor for that agency. To tell you the truth, I'd have given big money to get out of it. But it turned out that teaching CPR is the most fun job I have ever had.
So, for the last 17 years it is what I've been doing for a living, and loving it!
In my spare time I serve as staff to my cats, Nate and Sawyer. I'm sorry to report that my performance reviews in that part of my life are not all that great.
